Our features

Wingate De Academy  provides a unique homeschoolK-12 program built on a progressive, developmental model of education. Wingate De Academy was founded in 2001 by Yeho Rue , along with a small group of teachers and parents, who wanted to provide a new approach to learning in a nonprofit, coeducational college preparatory online, homeschool  platform. The Directors and Teachers at Wingate De Academy all believe students learn best when they are actively engaged. Through hands on activities, and teacher / parent assisted learning,  children are given opportunities to make sense of and develop an understanding of the growing world around them.

21-st century education 

 Wingate De Academy  and their staff work hard  to assist parents as they get their students ready for learning in the "21st-century" . We work with parents to make sure each student is ready by using the Exact Path and the Plato's course wear system along with  educationally collaborations, digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.  We feel each of our students  will need the above listed skills, to grow, develop, and thrive in today's  academic based society.

As a college preparatory school, we encourage parents to start the foundation of academic development early. We strive to work with parents  who believe as we do in the importance of academic success,.  Our goal is to show parents that every child can learn  and it does not have to be at the expense of a child’s emotional or social well-being. While students need to be challenged, we feel that it is crucial to develop and deliver curriculum that is appropriate for the age and ability of each child and particularly on a certain grade level .
